Frequently given answers about our personhood
The questions we most often get about ourselves boil down to two broad categories:
“Why do you use first-person plural language?”
We refer to ourselves in the first person plural, using “we” pronouns, and words like “us”, because we experience plurality.
“Why do you use ‘they’ pronouns?”
We don’t.
You do, when referring to us.
They/them pronouns respect our nonbinary gender, and our plurality.
